Hi, friend!
I’m so glad you found your way here.

I’m often asked where the name Silo Studios came from. If you’re from Buffalo, you’ve seen the old grain silos peppered along the waterfront. My husband and I spent part of our wedding day taking photos at Silo City, and it was the perfect combination of two things I love: a symbol of our city’s past, and the beginning of our story together.
Our story actually began when we were both still working in TV; I was a news producer and James was a videographer. We’ve both left the business (3 a.m. morning shows aren’t for everyone, but I’m super grateful we met on one!) and while my days of writing voiceovers and coordinating live shots are behind me, I was never quite able to shake my love of storytelling.
And because of that, Silo Studios was born.
Whether I’m joining you within the first 48 hours of your baby’s birth, visiting you in your home in the weeks afterwards, or picking wildflowers with your family (and hopefully your dog) on a Buffalo summer night, my goal is to capture your family’s story - authentically and with purpose. Posed pictures are important - we all need a family portrait. But I’m more drawn to the moments in between - the belly laughs, the discoveries made during a walk in the woods, and the simplicity of a morning at home. The kind of moments that will make you feel something when you look back on them years from now, because they were so you.
It’s my goal to document your life as it is. Unscripted, real, and with a whole lot of love. Let’s tell your story together.
xo,
Molly
